Become a volunteer The Blackbutterfly Network formerly Blackbutterfly Enterprises, Inc., we have listed a host of positions below, if interested in one of our volunteer positions please complete the contact form and a BBE representative will contact you. Volunteering is a great way to earn community service hours for college or high school and there is no greater reward than that of giving.
Sales and Marketing Representative:
§ Persuade their customers to purchase products and services that are offered by the company in order to acquire sponsors and donations.
§ Prepare action plans and schedules, identify potential prospects, prepare presentations, forward proposals and sponsorship packages.
§ Establish and maintain current and potential client relationships, maintain contacts, management follow-ups and resolve client concerns.
§ Representatives may also be required to attend seminars, trade shows and other events.
Web Graphics Designer:
§ Maintain websites and social networking sites.
Certified Accountant:
§ Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments
§ Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, Human Resources, and Operations etc.
§ Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial records for Executive Director, Development and Board of Directors
§ Assure financial plans are consistent with organizational goals
§ Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc. when necessary
§ Manage commercial banking relationships to facilitate an appropriate credit resource under highly competitive terms
§ Assure that assets are not awkwardly encumbered with personal guarantees or unrealistic commitments
§ Work closely with Executive Director in the development and economic evaluation of various fringe benefit programs for staff and program components
Core Workshop Host:
· Financial Literacy:
§ Must have general banking, and investment knowledge. Must be able to set up a short-term youth friendly stock invest project.
· Female Health, Hygiene and Etiquette:
§ Must have knowledge of female health, hygiene and teen pregnancy prevention. Must have knowledge of proper, social, professional and web etiquette.
· History, Tradition and Culture:
§ Must have a general knowledge of African American History and Culture as it relates to African American Women. Share the accomplishments, defeats, stereotypes, etc of African American Women both past and present. Identify the current issue surrounding African American women and the images they represent.

Events and Appearance Coordinator:
· Coordinate public appearances, speaking engagements to promote both BBM and DBE (i.e. television, radio, web and print interviews). Arrange community service projects for BBM students to participate also organize and arrange field trips.
BBM Recruiter:
· Solicit individuals to fill volunteer positions for BBM and BBM Scholarship Pageant Contestant. Provide possible BBM candidates with the proper volunteer agreement and/or registration forms and insuring all forms all completed and returned.
BBM Networking Assistant:
· Solicit post and promote BBM positions and activities via social networking websites and email. Respond to all web inquires or forward responses to the proper individual for follow-up in a timely manner.
BBM Workshop Assistant:
· Schedule and confirm guest workshop host, insure workshop materials are available, maintain contact information for all BBM participants and staff, notify BBM participants and staff of any changes in the workshop schedule, confirm attendance for workshops, up-coming events and appearance, make follow-up calls to participants who are absent, maintain gift incentive list.
Pageant Assistant:
· Events and Appearance Scheduler:
§ Schedules public appearances, speaking engagements, media press releases and interviews for pageant winner for the reign of their title year.
· Dressing Room Assistant:
§ Assist pageant contestants prepare for BBM pageant. Maintain garments and accessories used by the contestants, assist with personal grooming, dressing, hairstyles or accessorizing, as and when required. Dressing room assistant must also assist cleaning the stage and backstage areas before and after technical rehearsals and shows.
· Greeters:
§ Greet, hand out event programs, assist and direct patron a participants during the Delaware Black Expo Extravaganza Weekend..
· Ticket Booth Registrar:
§ Maintain ticket sales and collect tickets for Delaware Black Expo Extravaganza Weekend
· Stage Assistants:
§ Assistant stage managers are stationed backstage during the show to relay the commands from the stage manager to the backstage crew, tell cast members when to enter the stage, and keep communications between the technical booth and backstage areas open. The stage assistant also cleaning the stage and backstage areas before and after technical rehearsals and shows.
· General Assistant: Various duties
· Administrative Assistant:Will perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for BBM and the directors to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization.
§ Answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls
§ Receive and direct visitors and clients
§ General clerical duties including photocopying, fax and mailing
§ Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
§ Retrieve documents from filing system
§ Handle requests for information and data
§ Resolve administrative problems and inquiries
§ Prepare written responses to routine enquiries
§ Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
§ Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for managers or supervisors
§ Prepare agendas for meetings and prepare schedules
§ Record, compile, transcribe and distribute minutes of meetings
§ Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence
